Technology of treatment of waste water from electroplating coatings excretion ZnNi

Use of galvanic baths for the elimination of the alloy coatings due to the increasing demands on corrosion resistance of the product becomes more important. Its use is a broad spectrum of industries; however, priority use is the coating of components for the automotive industry. The downside of these technologies appears to wastewater disposal problems. It is important to realize that the baths for the secretion of alloy coatings contain relatively large amount of complexion agents. It is necessary because of the high operating pH bath, specifically ZnNi bath is around the 13 pH. Another problem is that the operating bath induces a certain amount of cyanides, which then bind ions Ni2 + and Zn2 + to a relatively stable complex. Problems with RAS in waste water from surface treatment

Issue of the RAS in the waste water is now becoming a nightmare for operators of surface treatment technology. The main problem is that while other pollutants such as heavy metals, the limit values for discharge into surface waters is usually technologically achievable, at RAS is the possibility of their stronger reduction limited. Use of galvanic coatings excluded from the alloy bath is currently gaining importance due to demands for high corrosion resistance while minimizing the use of chromate containing hexavalent chromium. The most widespread alloy bath is ZnNi bath. Operation of alloy baths places heavy demands on strict adherence to the technological parameters. One of the important operational parameters is composition of the bath; specifically the content of soluble carbonates. Bath operation is to increase their content. Therefore, you must use appropriate technology to remove carbonates from the bath. In practice it is used cold way of removal of carbonates. It is based on temperature-dependent solubility, e.g. sodium carbonate solubility decreases with temperature decrease. So if you cool down bath at an enough low temperature, crystallization of largely contained carbonates occurs. Basic parameters of the waste water treatment process containing heavy metals

Technology of waste water treatment with content of heavy metals can be divided into 3 groups: 
- Precipitation processes 
- Sorption on ion exchangers 
- Special processes (membrane electro-separation, electro coagulation, nano filtration, electro dialysis and biological processes).

Due to the complexity and cost of these processes are in practice less widespread, and that is why the vast majority of the disposal of waste water containing heavy metals are used technological processes based on precipitation processes, respectively sorption on the resin. Sorption on ion exchangers is relatively effective method, but no longer requires relatively clear water (no grease, particulate matter) - in practice, therefore, used as a second stage of treatment prior precipitation). Precipitation processes used for disposal of water containing heavy metals may be divided by the coagulants used hydroxide, carbonate and sulphide. Of course there are other methods such as precipitation. Indeed, the precipitation of barium sulphate, precipitation of tungsten, molybdenum and vanadium as insoluble ferric salts.... Application of ASR systems in surface treatment plants are currently gaining in importance. Virtually every major new line of surface modifications is equipped with ASR, but the rendering is still considered an above standard. This is due to obvious economic effect of automation, e.g. reducing labor costs. Visualization may at first glance seem like such pretty color pictures on the monitor, which are useful, but the practical effect is not so significant. That is a major mistake.
